Humpbacks, Orcas & Bingo -- OH MY!

It was a very active day at sea for the Divas.  The day proved to be very eventful for the Divas.

Kiki's day started with a new "do" at the spa - she be stylin' now with her new short hair.  She met up with Joyce and Donna for breakfast at LaVeranda.  12:05 started the vigorous Bingo tournament - which was interrupted by feeding humpbacks and breeching Orca.  It was truly a sight to behold.  Hard to follow that amazement, but back to Bingo...  Donna won $69, only to be outdone by Kiki (the Queen) who won $101!!!  Only later those two divas were referred to as the "aren't you the ones who won everything in Bingo?"  Divas continuing to make a name for themselves on the ship.

After such an exhausting pre-lunch extravanganza, the Divas divided up and spread their diva-ness around the ship.  Kiki read a novel .... Joyce, the intellectual diva, attended an enrichment lecture on Aussie history, Donna & Barbara found themselves napping on a chaise poolside.  Donna, who refused to go inside for the remainder of her nap, is varying shades of brown, pink and red.

The Captain did not wait for the primping Divas to attend his cocktail party, so the Divas went down for an early dinner.  Its a shame that there really isn't quite enough food on this ship.  Kiki and Donna later found their way to the casino -- and well, lets just say they did not need any help lugging their massive winnings back to their room.

Morning came and we arrived in Melbourne, Australia.  Our first excursion started with visiting the Shrine of Rememberance.  You would expect the government provided for its people, but the families of the fallen soilders paid and constructed this magnificant memorial.  There was a great sense of respect and peace at the memorial and its gardens.

The excursion continued to a trip to the top of Eureka 88, the tallest residential building in the world.  Amazing views of all of Melbourne.  As we headed towards the Botanical Gardens, the rains came.  The four divas, of course were above getting cold and wet, remained on the bus like the divas they are.  The journey back to the ship found the divas once again making a name for themselves.  Tour guide Marian, who  Kiki believes was Arthur's grandma (remember the movie Arthur?) ... after a while listening to Marian, the Divas found themselves in tearful laughter over the nonstop chatter of Marian.

The ultimate on the way back to the ship was the realization that Melbourne is a very advanced and modern city ....  In the midst of stores like Chanel, Hugo Boss, etc there was a site to behold... the green and white lettering, make no mistake about it.... a honest to goodness KRISPY KREME!!!  The 4 Divas, of course, sat straight up almost in unison announcing that there was a KRISPY KREME and to stop the bus.  Sadly the bus didn't stop.  What is with that?  No joke about it, there was a Krispy Kreme...  and, no joke about it, the bus really didn't stop.

Tonight the Divas will enjoy champagne and canapes at the Melbourne Aquarium.  A private function for just the Divas (and some other guests of the ship will probably tag along - everyone wanting to be with the Divas).    http://www.melbourneaquarium.com.au/

Enjoy a few photos below, hopefully some great pictures from the aquarium tonight.
