Our fears have been realized .... the Navigator will never again be the same.
We could start the blog at the beginning of the day, but the end of the day is much more entertaining. You know you have made an impression when innocent people eating dinner come over to you table showing the size of desert and advising the Divas they would not be satisfied with the portion size as is. Seems as if we had been loudly complaining about wanting a "real American size pumpkin pie".The waiters showed up with a condominium of pie for each of us. One would think after three martinis, two Pina Coladas and two peach Daiquiris we would not have shown up in the Compass Rose, the main "foo foo" dining room.
Barbara had trouble controlling her considerable cleavage so we should not have been surprised when the every waiter in the place made a pass at the table offering extra "service" and more food.
Not until we were well into dinner did we realize the rubber necking was directed at us. We ended the evening by putting the stewardess and butler in hysterics when Barbara and Kiki imitated the cruise director, with "How do you dooooooooo, let's meet the crew".
Earlier in the day we took a trip on the Taieri Gorge Railway, in an antique train car into the countryside of the town of Dunedin, NZ. The countryside is stunning - great pictures from the train, especially from the very high trestle bridges. What an opportunity!
The Divas, of course, had some time to roam around the streets of Dunedin for some retail therapy.
Tomorrow we are in ChristChurch, New Zealand.
Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family back home!
Arriving at Port Chalmers, just outside of Dunedin, New Zealand |

The front of our train, heading over a trestle bridge |
Our train car - kept just as it was in early 1900s |
Standing between the cars let us take some great photos |
Divas - probably getting into trouble while trying to appear innocent |
Hard to appreciate the height we were in these photos |
Hanging out between the cars - this is a new friend - Barb You can't tell, but we are very high up... |
Box lunch on the box car! |
