Hobart, Tasmania - a beautiful and perfect day!

Our bus tour started with a quick look around the harbor and the town of Hobart in Tazmania.  We would have time in the afternoon to explore it more closely (shopping!!!).

The narrow country roads took us to the oldest bridge in Australia.  Construction of it began in 1823 and it is still used today.  The Diva's had an hour to walk among the colorful ducks and quaint homes before heading to an animal sanctuary farther in the countryside.

Bonorong Park is set on a hillside facing some of the most beautiful vista's you could ever see.  It houses only native animals that were rehabilitated there.  If they can not return to their natural habitat, they are kept and live their natural lives there.  Of course, the Tazmanian Devil is the most popular there.  It's one of those "so-ugly-its-cute" little guys.
The Diva's got to hand feed kangaroos and love on a koala bear named Banjo!  We went back to the pier and then headed for town on the shuttle bus for lunch at a local pub and some serious shopping!  Even Donna bought something.

It was simply a perfect day - some of the most beautiful countryside, waterfront that you could imagine.  Add to that 4 friends sharing in the day, crossing off bucket list items such as petting Koalas and Kangaroos.

At the harbour, the Whale Wars ship was there.  Diva Barbara managed to find her way on board - getting some behind the scenes insights.
